It’s halfway through 2020 and I am finally back with a Modern Working Girl outfit. If there’s one thing you must know about my style is that I love classic pieces, ideally monochromatic, but with an edge that brings out my personality. So today I am revisiting the suit through this asymmetric suit I featured in a Fashion Nova Haul on my youtube channel a while ago.

If you’ve watched my haul video then you know this suit‘s blazer originally came with a one-sided bra. Well, I cut it off as it really wasn’t doing it for me and I wanted to be able to wear this in a professional setting. So I paired it with a white men’s shirt to keep it as classic as possible, given that the blazer’s asymmetry is the star of the show.

This look is supposed to be work-appropriate so I kept the make-up look pretty neutral. A warm smokey eye with nude glossy lips, and glowy skin. If you’re interested in a makeup tutorial for this look, let me know!

The only thing I will say though about the quality of the blazer is that its buttons have been falling off one by one so I am not impressed. However, if you are accustomed to shopping at Fashion Nova, you are likely not surprised. On the plus side, the pants are solid, and with the details on the side, give majorette vibes. Paired with these classic heels which feature a filet accent, the look screams classy yet edgy and modern.
