Lyds is an African-owned handbag brand I’ve been a fan of for the past 5 years. Recently, I reconnected with the owner and got my hands on her stylish bag named “Naomi“. The name speaks for itself but it inspired me to act like a young Naomi (Campbell that is) and give it a proper photoshoot to share how I would style it and show that you can give off luxury vibes on a tight budget.

I paired the beige crocodile-leather bag with a silky satin dress to emulate high-fashion. Typically bags this size and height are not associated with evening dresses and night gowns so I decided I would “break the rules” and see what happens. I couldn’t decided on which color for the dress would give off the vibe I was looking for the most so I decided to do both.

Which color are you feeling the most? The dress is from Maria Doll Fashion, an online boutique here in Senegal. Ideally, I would wear this with a pair of invisible open toe high heel sandals but I currently don’t own what I had in mind, hence there being no photos of my feet 🙂
